The Grampians National Park is the jewel in the crown of Victoria’s spectacular natural beauty. Famous worldwide for its verdant bush, thundering waterfalls and rugged mountainous uplands, the Grampians are unforgettably Australian, filled with unique wildlife and views that stretch for miles.
The Grampians are home to a wide range of native flora and fauna including kookaburras, kangaroos and wallabies as well as wildflowers and the unique Grampians Gum tree.
The Grampians Great Escape is a perfectly tailored one-day expedition that will let you see a huge swathe of this spectacular attraction and experience many of its highlights. Starting with an easy pick up in Melbourne, our modern, air conditioned tour bus will drive you directly to the Grampians National Park where we’ll take a break and have a delicious morning tea surrounded by nature. Then we’ll drive into the heart of the Grampians and take in the sights. We’ll start with a hike to the spectacular Boroka Lookout for stunning mountain views you’ll want to bring your camera for!
Aboriginal people have been connected to the Grampians for thousands of years, and to experience this culture we’ll visit the Brambruk Aboriginal Cultural Centre to understand the special Indigenous history of the region. The centre displays a wide array of artefacts, all housed in a building with an undulating roof representing the wings of a cockatoo. To fuel our afternoon adventures, we’ll enjoy a light lunch surrounded by the outdoor splendor of the Grampians.
Then it’s time for a hike to the unforgettable Jaws of Death/Balconies and Reeds Lookout, where the majestic scenery will astound you. Our final stop is a cooling visit to the Mackenzie Falls, Victoria’s tallest waterfall, or Silverband Falls.
You will return to Melbourne with a stop along the way for a well-earned dinner (own expense). You’ll get free Wi-Fi on the bus so you can get in touch with friends and even share your Grampians pictures online!
Departing Melbourne at 7am and returning to the city at around 8pm, the Grampians Great Escape is a 12-hour day trip that will bring you a truly unforgettable experience for a great price.
